The Aged Care Operations Governance Board provides oversite and direction of the Aged Care Operations for the Catholic Diocese of Port Pirie. This includes St Joseph’s House in Port Pirie, Star of the Sea Home for the Aged in Wallaroo and Star of the Sea Community in the Yorke Peninsula and Mid North.
The Draft Strategic Plan 2024-2029 is now open for public consultation. Stage 2 consists of interactive workshops held in Port Pirie and Wallaroo. This provides an opportunity for the community to have discussion and provide feedback on the key focus areas for our Aged Care services.

Community workshops will be held:
- St Joseph’s House, 22 Norman Street, Port Pirie – Tuesday, 17th of September 2024, 1.30pm
- Star of the Sea Home for the Aged, 15 Elizabeth Street, Wallaroo – Tuesday, 17th of September 2024, 1.30am
- Star of the Sea Community Care, Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, Cr Elizabeth Street and Irwine Street, Wallaroo – Tuesday, 24th of September 2024, 1.30pm
All residents, families, staff, volunteers and community members can have their say during the public consultation period which closes at 5pm on Friday 1st November.
