Our Community Care service is seeking a full time Senior Finance and Administration Officer

About the role

We are seeking a full-time Senior Finance and Administration Officer to join our dynamic Community Care Team. The Senior Finance & Administration Officer provides critical financial and administrative support for Home Care and forthcoming Support at Home programs. This role ensures accurate payroll processing, client scheduling, billing, and financial transactions across integrated platforms (UKG, AlayaCare, Xero). The position will contribute to operational efficiency, compliance, and the delivery of high-quality services to clients, families, and staff.

Previous experience in a similar position is essential.

This role is fast paced and requires a high level of concentration and organisation skills.

The position is 37.5 hours per week; Monday to Friday – 8am to 4pm.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in finance, payroll, or administration roles (minimum 3–5 years).
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing, preferably using UKG (or similar large-scale HRIS/payroll system).
  • Experience with rostering/scheduling systems, ideally AlayaCare or equivalent.
  • Good working knowledge of Xero for invoicing, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • High attention to detail, with strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with staff, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Commitment to confidentiality, compliance, and professional integrity.
  • Current drivers’ license
  • Willingness to undergo or hold a National Criminal History check
  • Willingness to participate in training and development

 

The following experiences will be viewed favorably:

  • Experience in the aged care or health sector, with an understanding of Home Care Package or Support at Home funding arrangements.
  • Knowledge of the Aged Care Act, Support at Home reforms, and associated reporting obligations.
  • Certificate or diploma in accounting, business administration, or related discipline.
